So what makes a conversation 'great'? Supposedly... great authors engage in a 'great' conversation.... over the 'great' ideas. When you start to get inside the conversation, one discovers these authors speak to each other across the ages. Older guys speak to the ages in the future, and younger authors answer back and address the folks who are already dead. So its a discussion that transcends time... and space.... "Great authors have established themselves as having compelling arguements and narratives. And while you may disagree with the ideas in and of themselves, they are great in that they have stood the test of time and and shaped the civilization we live in today. Since it's all on written out on texts, we, in the 21st century get to get in on the conversation if we so choose. So this is like talk radio vintage / antique style. Surprise surprise... I'm not quite sure yet, but I have a hunch that many of the topics under discussion in the books of antiquity are the same ideas radio talk blathers about today.
Stay TUNED.... Get the historical perspective.... not on trivial pursuits such as the latest gossip on people.... but on ideas that we live with today.
